Bitter melon

An oblong green warty fruit. Bitter melon (Mướp đắng or muop dang in Vietnamese) has a crunchy and watery texture similar to bell pepper with a bitter taste – which is thought to be medicinal. It can be sliced and stir-fried or stuffed with minced pork and cooked in a broth.
